Contra Costa County Labor Day 2012 Event Guide

Labor Day weekend kicks off Friday night, August 31, 2012 as the Walnut Creek Aquanuts Annual Swim Show dives into Heather Farm Park. The event features synchro, contortion, juggling, lights, colors, food, and drink combining two amazing arts… the Olympic Sport of Synchronized Swimming and the Circus Acts typically performed Under the Big Top.

Tickets are $20 with the show running from 8p-10p Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, August 30 through September 2, 2012.

Aquanuts Details

All weekend long, through Sunday, September 2, 2012, hike or ride with family and friends along the 5th Annual East Bay Hills Trails Benefit Hike and 11th Annual Trails Benefit Equestrian Ride. You’ll hike along the Bay Area Ridge Trail from Stonebrae Country Club, Hayward to Fernandez Ranch in Martinez. The event includes all meals, campsites, showers and entertainment each evening, with camping gear transported from campsite to campsite. Mileage varies from 9 to 13 miles a day and includes shuttles when necessary.

Cost: $55 daily

Contra Costa Central Labor Council holds their Labor Day Precinct Walk & BBQ on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 9am-2pm. The day’s events will commence at 1333 Pine St in Martinez.

9AM – Noon – NO on PROP 32 Precinct Walking in Martinez
11:30 AM – We’ll Fire Up the Grill
12:30 PM – We’ll begin serving up the food
1PM – Hello’s from our elected officials
