Olympic Fever has Overtaken Me and I’m Not at All Embarrassed.

Orinda’s own Heather Petri is competing in her fourth Olympics in 2012 and I’m proud to wish all the best to this native daughter of Contra Costa county. After all, how cool it is to have one of our own reaching for the glory of gold while we cheer her on?

If you’d like, use the comment form at the bottom of this page to leave Heather a message and cheer her on. I’ll tweet a link to the page directly to Heather so she can see all of the comments of support from back home.

A member of the U.S. Women’s Water Polo Team, Heather has already made us proud in previous Olympics, bringing home two silver medals and one bronze. The women’s competition gets underway today, July 30, with the U.S. sitting in Group A with Spain, Hungary and China.

Certainly, all across the San Francisco East Bay, water polo and Team USA fans will be keeping an eye out for news and coverage of Heather and her teammates.

And I’ll be taking a break for a few minutes everyday from real estate in Walnut Creek and Contra Costa county to keep you updated on the progress of Heather and the U.S. Women’s Water Polo Team as they strive for gold at the 2012 London Olympics.

So Like my page on Facebook and follow me on Twitter if you’d like to see the regular updates of how Heather amd Team USA are doing.
