San Francisco Bay Area Museums

Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek connect people with the wildlife found in our backyards and through the hills in the east Bay Area.

One of the best kept secrets in the San Franciso Bay Area is the Oakland Museum.  The permanant exhibits are great and many world famous artist show here as well.

A piece of history is the Alameda California.  The USS Hornet is a piece of our history from World War II as well are the space program.  The USS Hornet is available for private parties and does really cool retro dinner dances in the spring and summer.

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art SFMOMA is a world renown museum filled with great art and traveling shows that bring the world to San Francisco.

Close by SFMOMA is the Exploratorium, the science museum.  There are science exhibits for kids of all ages.

After the Loma Prieta earthquake, the deYoung Museum had to be rebuilt.  It took many years, but it was worth the wait.  The setting is Golden Gate Park and the museum is fantastic.

The Fine Arts Museum or Legion of Honor is located near high on a bluff our in the Sunset District.  The museum has a permanaent collection of trememdous art and shows like King Tut and other international collcetions that stop in every year.
