The Woodlands is one of the most desirable communities of Walnut Creek, California.The neighborhood is welcoming and the public system schools are all consistently rated as one of the best among the list of peer schools. Prior to the development of The Woodlands, this area served as farmland until at the first half of the 20th century it became Walnut orchards. The housing development in the area started at the beginning of the 60′s and the majority of the early homes were built by Middlefield, Hoffman and Mackay.
