The Walnut Creek Community Service Day is coming up on Saturday, October 6, 2012, providing you and I the opportunity to help brighten and enhance life in our town.
Most cities in the San Francisco East Bay hold such events, and they go a long way toward putting extra sparkle on the things that make living in Contra Costa County great.
One of the other cool things about the Walnut Creek, California Service Day is that you or your group get to choose the wide variety of activities that you’d like to help with. No matter what your specific interest or hobby in life, you can probably find a way to put it to good use.
Check-in and breakfast takes place at Heather Farm Park between 7:30 and 8:30 am with projects getting underway at 9am.
Residents can choose from 50 different projects to help with, although some of the activities have already reached their quota of volunteers, so act quickly! If you’re unable to help in the morning, some of the projects are also scheduling afternoon shifts.
As a Walnut Creek real estate agent, this is one of the events that I tout as an example of what it’s like to live in our area. The bottom line is that people care and we’tre dedicated to keeping Walnut Creek a first-class place to live. Thank you everyone!
