Walnut Creek Festival – When I Was A Kid

I love this time of year in Walnut Creek, CA. I get to experience one of my favorite celebrations, which are both the Walnut Creek Twilight parade and the Walnut Creek Festival. The 78 year-old festival will take place this year on 24th – the 27th, which the Twilight parade hitting on the 19th at 6pm. As a kid, who grew up in our lovely city, I use to watch the parade from the roof of my mom and dad’s shop on Main Street. I’d invite my friends over and mom would put out a spread of food and beverages for our neighbors. I made memories here, which is why I love seeing young families move into the area, as well as helping those whom I grew up with – and their parents- find the right downsizing opportunities. I feel I’m a part of Walnut Creek’s community fabric and each year, during each festival, I reminisce on all that has and hasn’t changed!

And, in case you’re wondering, yes – our local real estate market ranks as “very healthy” according to Zillow. Personally, I’ve seen an influx of interest in condominiums and townhomes and a demand for different home amenities for those looking to downsize. The median home value in Walnut Creek is $738,600 and our real estate values have risen 5.7% over the past year. I’m always available to answer real estate and/or downsizing questions – even if we bump into each other at the Twilight Parade!

If you’re new to Walnut Creek, or just haven’t had a chance to visit the Festival’s official event page yet, I’m listing the important info. below.
