The Walnut Creek School District board voted on Tuesday to OPPOSE a petition that would double the size of the Walnut Creek School District.
This effects the homeowners in the Crossings and Crystyl Ranch sections of Concord. These homeowner are able to continue to send their high school age children to Northgate High School in Walnut Creek.
The Carraige Square area of Walnut Creek will not be able to take advantage of Walnut Creek schools because of this ruling.
It seems a little unfair that a Walnut Creek zip code can not take advantage of Walnut Creek Schools, which historically test higher than other Contra Costa schools in Concord.
It’s my guess that it’s just a matter of time before the boundary lines are changed. I’m sure there’s more here than meets the eye.
